Police officers in Paris have detained a topless female protester who tried to jump into the motorcade of U.S. President Donald Trump as he made his way to the commemoration ceremony for Armistice Day in Paris, on Sunday, November 11.
The motorcade was travelling along the Champs Elysees in the heart of the French capital when the half-naked woman who had 'fake', hypocrite, peace' and other slogans written on her body, approached the vehicles.
She came within a few meters of Trump’s motorcade before she was apprehended by police, and taken away, and the motorcade continued on its way to the event marking the end of the First World War at the Arc de Triomphe, where dozens of world leaders will gather.
The woman appeared to be a member of Femen, and she was arrested a day after topless demonstrators from the same group protested in front of the landmark.
The radical feminist activist group Femen, based in Paris, said it was behind the stunt. Femen frequently carries out shock protests against sexism, racism, homophobia and other social and political issues.
Paris police said they detained two people over the incident.
